thumb_WhyisCoCoOrange EPA recently published the children's book, "Why is Coco Orange?"  Earth Day is Friday, April 22 and Air Quality Awareness Week is May 22-28. Copies  of this book are availble through EPA to you to help educate children about air quality and health.

Way to Go! - The District's curriculum, Way to Go!, is offered to 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade teachers to educate young people about the relationships between air pollution and transportation and the ways that each of us can make a positive difference! Workshops are held four times a year.  Contact Julia Duran, (831) 647-9411, Ext. 245 for upcoming dates!

Guest Speaker - Do you have a need for a guest speaker on air quality?  Have a guest speaker come out to your office, club, school, or business.

Electric Vehicle Kits - The District has an Electric Vehicle Kit available for middle and high school science teachers.  The kit includes parts to build 8 model electric vehicles, 30 copies of a student booklet on air pollution and alternative fuel vehicles, and a Teacher's Electric Car Book. Teachers using this kit have given it high praise as a teaching tool.  Limited kits are available.
