District Participates in Local Binational Health & Welfare Festival |

On Sunday, October 16, 2011, District staff manned a booth at the Alisal Binational Health & Welfare Festival, in Salinas, California. The event was a great success! Below are photos taken by Betsy Hibbits, Air Quality Inspector, of Julia Duran, Senior Administrative Assistant as she welcomes and helps visitors to the District's booth, as well as some happy participants.
Other participating agencies included CAL OSHA, Workman's Comp, and the Department of Pesticide Regulation. A Taiwanese charity (similar to Doctors Without Borders) brought a mobile dental clinic and provided hundreds of free teeth cleanings, extractions, and fillings to uninsured people.
