YEAR 11 OF THE CARL MOYER GRANT PROGRAM

WHAT PROJECTS ARE ELIGIBLE? - Electrify, repower, or retrofit your existing diesel equipment, or buy newer off-road equipment to replace older equipment. Eligible projects include: Repowers or retrofits of diesel equipment over 25 HP used in agriculture or construction; repowers of commercial fishing vessels; and class 7 diesel forklifts.

WHAT PROJECTS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE? - Motors under permit by ARB or the Air District are ineligible, as are replacements of on-road trucks and buses. Projects which must be implemented solely to comply with Air Resource Board rules and regulations are ineligible.

WHAT IS REIMBURSED? - Up to 80% of the cost to do the projects (depending on project type), based on the calculated emissions reduced over the project life. Approximately $1 million a year is currently available.

WHO CAN APPLY? - Anyone who owns and operates eligible equipment in the District (public or private). Data required to support your annual use of your old equipment (gallons, hours, and miles).

HOW DO I APPLY? - Download an application form from the Air District Carl Moyer Grant Program page, fill it in and mail it to us.

HOW ARE GRANTS AWARDED? - Because grants are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until the funds are gone, there is a wait list. So Apply now! Projects to replace diesel engines with electric motors have priority and are placed at the front of the waitlist.
